Officers in Loughborough would like local residents to be more vigilant following a number of copper thefts in the area.
The most recent theft took place on Edward Street, Loughborough at around 3am on Thursday September 18 when a three metre copper pipe was stolen resulting in £300 in damage.
This follows a number of similar incidents in the area that have occurred over the last few months.

Police in Loughborough are warning shoppers to be on their guard against purse-thieves following an increase of thefts in the town.
Crime analysis shows that in the last 30 days there have been 32 reports of purse thefts across the Loughborough local policing area - 20 of them have occurred in the town centre.
