Eastwell Concert by 'Flutet' raises £200

John Duckworth reported that 'The Last Night of the Proms' on TV did not deter a goodly number of people from attending a concert in Eastwell Church given by the 'Matthew Lynch Flute Quartet', a newly formed group of flautists playing under the name of 'FluTet'.
Judy Goodson would like to thank everyone for supporting such a fantastic evening that raised £100 for the church and £100 for the Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

Your Borough Needs Tree Wardens

Leicestershire County Council is putting a call out to everyone in Melton Borough interested in becoming a volunteer Tree Warden. Tree Wardens are the eyes and ears on all matters tree related and get involved in a range of tree based activities. However, Melton currently has poor coverage across the Borough and desperately needs more volunteers. An introductory meeting is being organised for 7pm on the 29th October at Melton Country Park for existing Wardens and anyone interested in becoming a Tree Warden. More »
