Crime Sheet November 2008Dear Resident, We are pleased to report the number of burglaries in Barrow dropped to just one during October, following three in the village the previous month. However please remain vigilant & report any suspicious activity to Police – dial 999 if persons are still in the area. The number of burglaries to properties other dwellings has also reduced from five to three during the month, two of these occurred at Seagrave Nursery on Melton Road. If you are offered any Bay trees, or indeed any goods at “giveaway” prices please be wary of where these goods may have come from – a call to the Police in these circumstances can lead to the arrest of suspects for numerous offences. Information can also be given anonymously via the Crimestoppers number – 0800 555111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org Hopefully the younger residents of Barrow had a safe & enjoyable Halloween – there were just two calls to Police involving anti-social behaviour on the evening & officers from Syston Local Policing Unit were on patrol in the village during the evening.
