A PLAYGROUP SESSION

Each session runs from 9:15am to 11:45am.

A usual morning routine is as follows:-

09:15 - 09:30 Welcome, registration and show and tell
09:30 - 10:15 Craft activity, free play and small group work
10:15 - 10:45 Snack time (younger then older children)
10:15 - 10:45 Group time (older then younger children)
10:45 - 11:25 Change of play activities
11:25 - 11:45 Story time
11:45 - 11:50 Home time

Thurnby Christmas Tree Festival & Craft Fair.
This event will start with a pre-view evening including a glass of wine and nibbles on Friday 2nd December 7.30-9.30pm., St.Luke’s Church, Main Street, Thurnby. Entry is by advance ticket, Adult £3, Children £1.50. Tickets from Graham Boyd 0116 292 7005 and Mike Evens 0116 241 6745. There will be additional events on Saturday 3rd December 10am to 5pm (including a Craft Fair in the Memorial Hall), Main Street, Thurnby and on Sunday 4th December 2pm to 5pm (including Cream Teas) in St Luke’s Church. Entry to the Saturday and Sunday events £1 on the door. All proceeds to the St. Luke’s Church Extension Fund.

The Sleigh will visit the villages the of Thurnby, Bushby, Scraptoft and Houghton on the following dates
December Monday 18th to Friday 22nd 4.30pm onwards
Over the past three years this event has been hugely successful and has raised large sums of money for good causes at home and abroad. (Last years efforts helped to fund a project in Sri lanka following the Tsunami as well as local ) The Sleigh has become a tradition locally and many look forward to seeing the lit-up sleigh buzzing around the area.
