Barrow News Published in Loughborough EchoEVENING OF MUSIC.Alison Print is once again coming to Barrow with her pupils and they will be giving an Evening of Music in Church on Friday July 3, starting at 7 pm. Tickets are available from church or from the Paper Shop, priced £4.00 adults, £3.00 children. This was a really good occasion last year and I hope many of you will be able to come along. Proceeds from the event will be going towards the church extension project. CRICKET FUN DAY.Barrow Town Cricket has arranged a 20/20 Family Fun Day from 5pm at the Cricket Ground on Nottingham Road. This is on Friday July 3. MINIMARKET.The Methodist Church is having a coffee morning and minimarket on Saturday July 4 at 10am, all welcome. PARISH COUNCIL MEETING.The next meeting of the Barrow Parish Council is in the Council Offices on the High Street at 7pm on Tuesday July 7, starting with the public session. STRAWBERRY TEA.The Baptist Church is having a strawberry tea and entertainment on Friday July 10 from 3pm. WOMENS INSTITUTE.The Barrow WI is meeting on Monday July 13 at the Bishop Beveridge Club at 7.30pm. The subject is “Old fashioned remedies”. PARISH WALK.On Tuesday July 14, Joyce Noon will be leading a parish walk of 4½ miles from the Three Crowns car park at 7pm. Out via I.13 to Strancliffe Lane, I.5, I.12, I.14a and I.4 to Walton.
