It has been a busy 6 months for the PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) with a number of well supported events, all of which are to raise funds to benefit the children at Hall Orchard (and of course to have a great time too!)

Events have included:
• School Discos
• A Chips and Bingo Evening
• “Who Dumped Humpty” – A Murder Mystery evening
• Cake Stall
• Tombola and Mulled Wine at the Christmas Lights
• We have also held raffles and taken part in the “Bags 2 School” scheme.

Forthcoming Events
The event is the Summer Fayre on Saturday 21st June 2-4pm so please make a note of this date in your diary

How much has been raised?
So far this academic year we have raised £2826.58. This figure includes some matched funding from 3M and Eon so Thanks to them and also to Rob Cooper and Steve Foster for organising this funding for us

A huge Thank you to everyone that has supported us. £1038 of this money has already been used to purchase new staging that was put to excellent use for the Christmas Production.

Trim Trail
The School Council would like a Trim Trail at school so this is the next fundraising Project for the PTFA. The Trim Trail will provide the children with a fantastic opportunity for outdoor physical activity and of course a lot of fun! We have a target amount to raise of £10,000 to make this a reality and to date we have raised around £1500 towards this figure.

So how can you help?
We appreciate that not everyone is able to commit to attending regular PTFA meetings, but there are other ways in which you could help.

Matched Funding
Many employers offer matched funding schemes, is this something you can access? If so, please let us know. It would be great to double the money we raise, especially for the Summer Fayre that is only a few weeks away

Summer Fayre
Are you able to help by running a stall, helping us set up or pack away? As the saying goes, many hands make light work..

Other Fundraising Activities
Are you able to help at other events such as the School Disco? We are pulling together a list of people who are willing to help at events from time to time, is this something you could do?
