Crime Sheet June 2009

Dear Resident,

I hope you are all enjoying the warm weather and that the sunshine continues throughout the summer!
Please remember to keep your homes secure and bear in mind that open windows can invite unwanted guests. Having said that, we have no burglary dwellings or burglary other than dwellings this month. Well done and keep up the good work.

There has been some more damage to motor vehicles, we are trying out ways of catching those responsible. Please if you can turn your wing mirrors in or put your vehicle in a garage or on a drive, it could prevent you becoming a victim. Any information to me please.

You will see from the crime figures that there was a robbery on the footpath between Willow Road and Nottingham Road. This happened at 8.40pm on 21/05/2009. The male responsible was white skinned, 5’9” tall of stocky build and short cropped dark hair, aged about 20 years wearing either a blue or black pull over top and black jeans and was riding a red mountain bike.

Please be considerate when parking around High Street in the village. There is free parking behind the supermarket and near the railway. It is illegal to park on the zig zags-they are there for the safety of pedestrians.
When using the cash machine or buying take away park in the free parking and walk to the machine or take away.
I have invited the street wardens to the village---you have been warned.
Please be considerate when parking your vehicle and let’s keep the traffic flowing through the village safely.

Lynne Gilbertson (PC 4206) Nigel Ritchie (PCSO 6647)
