BARROW-UPON-SOAR
WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

The Women's Institute has been long-established in Barrow, celebrating it's 50th birthday in 1999. There are currently approximately 30 members. Meetings are held once a month (usually on the second Monday), at the Bishop Beveridge Club, on South Street.

Members finds themselves actively involved in issues both of local and national interest.

Outings are held during the year, and there is a varied programme of speakers for the monthly meetings. Details of the programme for 2008 can be seen below. VISITORS AND NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME.

Apart from regular meetings, other events are held during the year. At one Coffee Morning that was held, visitors enjoyed a cup of coffee, while also visiting various stalls where members demonstrated various crafts, including tea bag folding, parchment craft and decoupage
