A Digital Picture of Leicestershire
To celebrate 40 years of BBC local radio broadcasting in the city and county, BBC Leicester want you to create a digital record of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
A revolution in technology began on 8 November 1967 when BBC Radio Leicester went on air as Britain’s first mainland local radio station.
On the BBC's birthday we wanted to create a digital picture of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland today – with your help. We wanted to make sure that every corner of our county was recorded as digital images.
We asked YOU to send us your own images from across the county to help celebrate and you sent us OVER 400 images!! Thank you!
