Once you are registered you can post items in to the local postings section such as news and events. » Latest NewsPosted: Thu, 29 Jul 2010 10:26am A Support Group for people affected by 2 rare and incurable brain conditions, PSP (progressive supranuclear palsy) and CBD (cortico basal degeneration) will take place on Tuesday 24th August at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Leicester Forest East. The symptoms and rate of progress of the diseases, PSP and CBD, vary widely between individuals, but they progressively affect balance, movement, vision, speaking and swallowing. Unexpected backward falls and the inability to look down are common symptoms of PSP that are unusual in other conditions. Patients with PSP or CBD are usually over 40, with the majority over 60 years of age. The PSP Association is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people living with these 2 neurological conditions. More » The meeting will be St Andrew’s Church Hall, Hinckley Road, Leicester Forest East from 1.30 to 3.30pm on Tuesday 24th August and is open to anyone affected by the diseases, including carers, friends or family members or those working in a paid capacity to support people with the diseases.
