» BirstallCATS' TALES - 1by Barbara SheppardThe other day Grandma was making her bed when she heard the noise of two cats fighting in the street. She looked out of the window and saw a black cat sitting on the kerb who was looking down at a grey cat lying very still in the gutter looking up at the black cat. Grandma watched and saw the black cat's tail slowly moving backwards and forwards on the ground in an angry manner, all the time fixing his eyes on the other cat. The tip of that cat's tail moved only very slowly - just the tip - as if he was very frightened of the black cat. Suddenly, the grey cat rolled over on to his back and with a loud howl shot out a paw, his claws extended, into the face of the black cat. But the black cat didn't move, he just sat there and stared at the grey cat. This continued for quite a few minutes and after a while, he thought the other cat was quite pathetic because ........ ..... the cat got up and slowly walked away.![]() Last Updated Thu, 30 Sep, 2004. |
