The Halloween Egg by Alicia

It all happened when twins called Lian and Kelly and their awesome dog Zack went into the haunted house by mistake.

It was skanky, spooky and smelt of rotten eggs. Lian thought it was horrible but Kelly and the dog thought it was interesting and cool. Kelly said to Lian in an excited voice "come on let's go inside and see what we can find, look Zack wants to go in, oh come on it will be a laugh". "Okay then I suppose I will have to won't I" sighed Lian. So they all went in and explored. All of a sudden Zack sniffed something and guess what it was. It was a giant egg. Both of them were shocked to find out what it was. Lian said "Is it a big marble?". "I don't know why you're asking me" Kelly replied. Lian guessed it's a giant egg. So they took it home. All of a sudden it hatched, it was a dinosaur, a magical dinosaur. Well, Kelly thought it was.

That night lots of mysterious people came out of nowhere. Lian whispered to Kelly "This is really freaking me out". "Don't be ridiculous" Kelly replied, but when they both went to bed Kelly realised what she meant. All of these ghosts, monkeys, witches etc. kept appearing out of nowhere. Neither Kelly, Lian or the dog were asleep, it was just too scary, nasty and frightening.

When they woke up in the morning it was all back to normal, like nothing had happened. Lian said to Kelly "I wonder if it will happen again tonight". "Nah, I don't suppose it will. Anyway, it was probably just a one off" Kelly replied. So they went to bed, everything normal and that night nothing happened.

In the morning everything was like any other day. Then Kelly remembered that it was Halloween. It was spooky.
