We are friendly Self Help Group for anyone who lives with arthritis or cares for someone with arthritis in Leicester or Leicestershire. Our monthly sessions are held on the second Wednesday of each month at Longslade Community College, Wanlip Lane, Birstall. We meet from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and refreshments are available. We offer support and encouragement as well as a wide range of talks and information sharing. Further details can be found on the Calendar link below. The mission of our parent organisation states, ‘Arthritis Care exists to support all people with arthritis’. As a local group, we endeavour to support local people with arthritis by providing a wide range of activities. CLASH has a management committee of 6 members who support the running of the group. All committee members are volunteers and have excellent communication skills as well as being knowledgeable about arthritis. Our activities, please see below, are organised by members who volunteer as Project Workers. Do come along and join us. NEWS Thank You
The Henry Smith Charity Trustees generous grant of £2,690.00 will play a significant role during 2010 as the Accessibility programme is extended and costs are available to fund equipment and project worker expenses.
CLASH received a £1,500 grant from Charnwood Borough Council to support the administration of the projects and develop the ongoing sustainability of the group as a whole. In particular the grant will enable CLASH to evaluate and improve the services it provides and put it in a stronger position to make applications for statutory and other funding. More News THANK YOU Marks & Spencer Fosse Park for such generosity & hard work during the 125 years celebrations. Your grand total of £7,372 is outstanding & will go a long way to supporting the needs of people & their families living in Leicester & Leicestershire with arthritis.
