All meetings are held in the Palmer Tomkinson Centre. Easy access. CLASH is a local branch of Arthritis Care. We are friendly Self Help Group for anyone who lives with arthritis or cares for someone with arthritis in Leicester or Leicestershire. Our monthly sessions are held on the second Wednesday of each month at Longslade Community College, Wanlip Lane, Birstall. We meet from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and refreshments are available. We offer support and encouragement as well as a wide range of talks and information sharing. The mission of our parent organisation states, ‘Arthritis Care exists to support all people with arthritis’. CLASH has a management committee of 7 members who support the running of the group. All committee members are volunteers and have excellent communication skills as well as being knowledgeable about arthritis.

CLASH supports more than 80 members in and out of the home, by providing activities such as hydrotherapy, gym, yoga, and other activities designed to promote mobility, rehabilitation and respite. There is a monthly Drop-In at The Grange in Ulverscroft. We aim to address the different needs of people of all ages and ethnicity with arthritis in our local area.

Clash has 5 ICT volunteers who help with the ICT Access (accessibility and training) Project. Volunteers visit individuals in the home and/or run local ICT classes to support learning. They run MyGuide sessions, support members to learn to use email and surf the Internet.

Do come along and join us. All ages Welcome!
