Welcome to the CLASH web page. CLASH is a local branch of Arthritis Care and started in September 2006. We are friendly Self Help Group for anyone who lives with arthritis or cares for someone with arthritis in Leicester or Leicestershire.

Our monthly sessions are held on the second Wednesday of each month in The Luther King Centre at Longslade Community College, Wanlip Lane, Birstall. We meet from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and refreshments are available. We offer support and encouragement as well as a wide range of talks and information sharing. Further details can be found on the Calendar link below.

Arthritis is a musculoskeletal condition that affects one in five people in the UK. An estimated 70% of all 70 year olds have arthritis, but the condition can affect people of all ages. There isn’t a cure for arthritis, but it's possible to slow down the progress of the condition and manage the pain it causes.

The mission of our parent organisation states, ‘Arthritis Care exists to support all people with arthritis’. As a local group, we endeavour to support local people with arthritis by providing a wide range of activities.

Weekly Therapeutic Hydrotherapy sessions at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. Details below.

Weekly Gym sessions at The Peepul Centre in the Evergreen Gym, Details below.

A monthly activity session for children, young people & families is held at the Peepul Centre. Details below.

Access to learning and information at home. CLASH is a UK Online Centre. Details below.

CLASH has a management committee of 6 members who support the running of the group. All committee members are volunteers and have excellent communication skills as well as being knowledgeable about arthritis. Our activities are organised by members who volunteer as Project Workers.

CLASH supports Arthritis Care's campaign for changes that will improve the lives of everyone with arthritis on a range of issues. Do come along and join us.
All ages Welcome!
