Positive Activities Youth Group

The Positive Activities Youth Group based at Longslade Community College have been involved in a project with Leicestershire's County Council's Community Heritage Initiative(CHI). As part of the project the group had two trips to Watermead, one with the Ranger learning about the park which included a bat walk, and the other taking photographs of what they saw.

"We all enjoyed taking these photos. We loved seeing birds, bats, cormorants, blackbirds, robins, swans and ducks. A lot of us saw our first bat."

"We had a great time walking around looking at everything around us."

"I liked taking pictures of frogs and I picked one up."

"We are lucky enough to have Watermead on our doorstep although there were negatives - the litter and dog poo. Please pick it up before you leave."
