Protect Your Home
Protect Your Home
Protect your Home when you are away
Remember to cancel your milk and newspapers.
Cut your lawns before you go away. If you are away for more than two weeks arrange for a friend or neighbour to keep them trimmed.
Let your neighbours (and your Neighbourhood Watch Representative if they live nearby) know that you are going away.
Ensure you have locked all windows and doors.
Ensure you have locked your gates and any ladders and tools are locked away.
Use automatic timers to switch on lights in the evening.
Ensure you turn on your burglar alarm.
Ensure any external movement sensors attached to security lights are working.
Do not leave keys on display.
Arrange for someone to take you wheelie bins in for you.
Consider leaving a car parked in the driveway.
