Broughton Astley Drama Society

BADS was formed in 1963 by a small group of local enthusiasts. Rehearsing in their own clubhouse beside the old village hall. Since then, they have been based in the bungalow at the entrance to the new village hall car park, rehearsing Mondays and Wednesdays.

The society does 3 productions a year, February and May in the village hall, and October at the Concordia Theatre Hinckley. The type of plays tackled range from straight drama to outrageous farce.

Although based in Broughton Astley they accept members from all over the general area. They hold informal commitee meetings on a regular basis, during which they decide on plays to perform, activities to do, and report on the latest productions.
