What It Means For You!

Neighbourhood Policing is about local people being able to access known local Police Officers (Michelle Gray and Paul Bingham) and Police Community Support Officers (Andy Harrison and Corrie Maycock), and being truly part of the solution to the kind of crime and disorder problems that can blight our lives and the areas in which we live.

It is about adopting an intelligence–led approach to fighting crime and building a new relationship between the police and the public: one based on active co-operation rather than simple consent. The energy of people themselves needs to be harnessed to make neighbourhood policing a success.

Burbage will now have a dedicated team of local officers (Michelle Gray and Paul Bingham), led by a Sargeant. This team will also include Police Community Support Officers (Andy Harrison and Corrie Maycock).
