Updated bus guides

Bus maps and guides have been updated with the latest details on frequency information, stops and routes, providing public transport users with everything they need to plan their journeys.

There are 14 different guides, each covering a different area in Leicestershire. The leaflets cover Ashby de la Zouch, Blaby, Coalville, FossePark, Hinckley, Leicester hospitals, Loughborough, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Measham, Melton Mowbray, Oadby, Syston and Wigston.

The new guides will be distributed to homes near to the featured bus routes. More »

There is also the county-wide Leicestershire Bus Map & Guide Network Map detailing all regular bus services to make travelling that bit easier.

The guides are also available to pick up from local libraries and service shops, to download from www.leics.gov.uk/transport_downloads. Residents and visitors can also sign up to a mailing list through the website to receive notification of changes to bus services in their selected areas.

May half term - free fun cycling event

Why not bring the family to Coalville Cycling Fun this May half term? Save the date for this free event taking place on Wednesday 29th May, 11am - 3pm, at Stephenson College, Coalville. There will be lots of fun family cycling activities on offer including the appearance of Olympic gold medallist Dani King, children's races, the chance to race toy cars with pedal power, a bicycle smoothie maker, stunt riders and Dr Bike maintenance sessions*. You could even test your cycling stamina against Dani in a training bike challenge or take a cycle ride with Dani on Coalville's new cycle paths* and find out what it takes to become an Olympian in a Q&A session*. Led rides* start at 10.30am from St Clare's Catholic Primary School, Broom Leys School and All Saints CE Primary School to the event at Stephenson College, or meet us at the college at 11am where Dani King will open the activities.

To finish the day, a free prize draw will take place at 2.50pm, with prizes including two adult bikes, a family ticket for free bike hire at Hicks Lodge and 50 backpacks filled with cycling goodies. Pick up an entry form at the Choose How You Move information point.
