Desford Dog Walkers

Desford Dog Walkers are an informal bunch of like-minded people who walk their dogs and who believe that dogs should socialise.

We meet at the Kirkby Road Recreation Ground between 8:15 - 8:30am each day and let the dogs do what dogs do best, play.

Membership is free. All you need is a love of dogs and be someone who loves watching dogs play together. Come along. You have nothing to loose.

It is great to see a bunch of dogs running around playing together without nastiness. Socialisation of dogs is very important and all of our dogs are very social.

Club Clothing

Clothing with the Club's logo is now available for modest cost which is non-profit making. All clothing is high quality and the logo is embroided. Clothing can be any colour and any size:

Dogs: Dexter & Stanley

Dexter (on the right) is nearly 2 years old and Stanley is nearly 1 year old. Both are Border Terriers as you can see. Dexter has a famous dad who came Best of Breed at Crufts 2007. Stanley has the nickname 'Ronnie' after Ronnie Barker. Bet you can't guess why?

Dogs: Tetley & Nala

Tetley is the Black Labrador and has a wonderful, playful nature. Nala is the older (well, very old) Golden Retriever.

Owner: Linda

Dogs: Spicy & Brin

Spicy is the longer haired 'Heinz' with a lovely disposition. Brin is the Springer Spaniel who once gets a ball, will not be parted from it.

Dog: Fidget

Fidget is a one year old 'Sprocker'. A Springer Spaniel crossed with a Cocker Spaniel. A lovely dog who enjoys chasing tennis balls, chewing them to bits and their utter destruction.

Dog: Bobby

Bobby is a Jack Russel(esque) dog who is one of the best at chasing and getting tennis balls despite his small stature.

Owner: Kipper's Mum

Dog: Kipper

Kipper's arrival knocked Bobby off the top at chasing tennis balls. Kipper is a lovely 'Heinz' (possibly Jack Russel x Lurcher).

Owner: Nita

Dog: Holly

Holly was welcomed into the club with the usual chase of the ball. She seems to be on the par with Bobby for speed at chasing tennis balls.
