Well, we have a busy social life; we go on bike rides; play games and we sing at weddings for which students get paid!! ££££ We are of all ages, we put on shows to raise funds, we have a panto and we are kept very busy at Christmas. ![]() Speed on Wheels is a new track-based event where visitors will have the chance to test performance and specialist cars over two miles of track and also enjoy passenger experiences in all sorts of vehicles, as well as watching experts on wheels thrill audiences. They can even participate in certain events in their own vehicles. You can test your own car on the track and for ultimate speed thrills, book into the autosprint on the day or a quarter mile sprint to see who can go the fastest! Or try karting instead – it’s how Lewis Hamilton got started! If you prefer to enjoy a passenger experience, a host of manufacturers will have their own track for demonstration drives, plus there will be Ariel Atom passenger rides and 4 x 4 offroading rides. For those opting for a strictly hands-off-the-wheel approach, spectator events include jaw-dropping motorbike stunt displays, wheel-changing competitions, trade stands and the Aerodrome’s own fabulous collection of Cold War jet aircraft including Hunter, Harrier, Comet, Lightning, Sea Vixen. It is also the home of the Vulcan Bomber. Youngsters can whiz round in go-karts (4-9yrs) or try offroading (4-12yrs) or they can also enjoy the trackside entertainment including inflatable slides. St Martin's Church - Acoustic Night
St Martin's Church is hosting the next acoustic night on Saturday 5 July 2008 in the Church Centre, starting at 7:30pm. Acoustic nights offer a chance to have informal music from great local bands and singing sensations. There will be lots of food, an opportunity to win lots of prizes (including two family tickets to the tropical bird garden worth £35 and two boxes of House of Commons Victoria Mints! ![]() This year’s Phyllis Chapman Memorial Challenge will be over the Bristol and Bath Railway Path taking place 11 - 13 July 2008. You can go on a virtual tour on here. It is another Cycle Path on an old railway. We will be cycling from Monkton Combe (Brassnocker Basin) Cycle hire Centre along Cycle Route 4 (the Kenett & Avon Canal Tow Path) to join the Bristol and Bath Railway Path in Bath.
