The Donisthorpe Parish Plan group meets regularly in Donisthorpe Community Centre, Ramscliffe Avenue.

The next meeting is Tuesday April 29th at 7:30pm.

The Parish and County Councils work with, the Health & Environmental Services, the Gas, Electrical & Water Services and the Police & Transport Authorities etc., to react positively to the issues that are raised. They are committed to react within a given time limit and to advise the Residents of the Parish of their proposed solutions.

We are still progressing with the big final report and the action plan - we are currently merging our plan with Oakthorpe and Acresford. Events in the pipeline are a Village Clean-up and Environmental Day (Sat 5th April 2008, 1pm at DM's gates), a Fete/Fun Day (Aug 31st 2008) and some Youth events TBA shortly - keep an eye on 3 Views News

The Parish Council for Oakthorpe Donisthorpe and Acresford have undertaken to support a Parish Plan.

The Parish Plan process consists primarily of a “grass roots” level questionnaire produced in each village within the Parish by residents of the village. The results of the questionnaire are analysed and used as supporting evidence for the action plan we develop. The service providers then receive our action plan and are duty bound to respond to each action, detailing timescales etc for the actions to be completed. If any of the actions are impossible they have to give reasons why they cannot happen. We are currently entering the data, the next stage is developing the action plan - IF YOU WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN DECIDING WHAT THE PRIORITIES ARE THEN PLEASE COME TO OUR NEXT MEETING
