Available Church and Burial Records

There is no church at Drayton. There was an ancient chapel there but by 1846 it was long out of use and all ceremonies took place at Bringhurst. This lists the records of christenings[C], marriages[M] and burials[B] which took place at Bringhurst parish church and which can be found at the Record Office for Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland. The dates for which banns are held are shown in brackets after the marriage dates. Bishop's Transcripts [BTs] are contemporary copies which are also shown. It also provides information about burials and cremations outside the parish church.

There is no civic cemetery at Drayton or Bringhurst and the nearest crematorium is probably at Kettering. Kettering Crematorium is at East Lodge, Rothwell Road, Kettering NN16 8XE.
