East Norton is a small parish with no parish council, according to the 2001 Census, it has a population of 94 in 37 households.
East Norton is situated in the Tilton Ward in the Rural East area of the Harborough District Council, and the Launde Electoral Division of the Leicestershire County Council. Nationally it is in the Rutland and Melton Parliamentary Constituency and the Three Cities Sub-Area of the East Midlands Region.

The Parish Meeting consists of all the electors of the parish and meets at least twice a year to discuss local issues.The current chairman, John Dyson, may be contacted by e-mail by clicking on here.

The 2008 Annual Parish Meeting to receive the accounts for the year ending March 31st 2007, and elect a chairman for the year 2008-9 will be held on Wednesday 28th May 2008 at 7-30pm in the church.
