PALs offering help to patients and carers
PALs offering help to patients and carers

Patients and carers are being reminded they can get more information on health services or give feedback on the care they have received through NHS Leicestershire County and Rutland’s Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).

PALS is a customer care service for the NHS which offers free information and advice, with contact kept confidential if required.

“We try to resolve any problems or concerns patients may experience when using health services,” said PALS manager Becky Millward. “Our aim is to do this quickly and informally before the issue becomes more serious. More »

“PALS also has access to a wealth of local and national health information and can signpost people to other organisations and support groups which can help.”

She added: “We also want to hear from patients or the public who have comments or suggestions about local health services. The feedback we receive from patients and visitors is used to improve local health services.”

PALS can be contacted by calling 01455 441 971 or 01509 564 444, by texting your enquiry to 07747 006 980 or emailing pals@lcr.nhs.uk

Letters can be sent to Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS), FREEPOST-RRHS-EUHR-LCZANHS, Leicestershire County and Rutland, Lakeside House, 4 Smith Way, Grove Park, Enderby, Leicestershire, LE19 1SS.

NHS Leicestershire County and Rutland is also giving patients and carers a chance to speak out about their experiences of using hospitals, GP practices and community health services in an online questionnaire.

People have until 30 September to complete the Patient Experience Questionnaire, which can be found on the trust’s website at www.lcr.nhs.uk/patientexperience « Less
