High Street (Looking towards the Leicester & Kilby Junction)As you can see, the houses on the left are a modern day edition to this street and there is no longer a line of trees running along the left hand side of the street. The road has also been widened in order to accomodate increased traffic throughout the village.

The village suppermarket (the Co-op) is now located on the site of the old forge and this street is now known as High Street rather than Mawby's Lane.

Located on Main Street Mr Purdy's Mens Outfitters is now the local newsagents and is owned by the Leicester Mercury News Group
