FleckneyFest 2008

In 2008, the Fleckney Carnival will become FLECKNEYFEST– a festival of Music, Arts, Leisure, Culture and Sport.

The first Planning and ideas meeting will be held on the 22nd August 2007 at The Sports Centre, Recreation Ground, Leicester Road, Fleckney from 7:30pm.

We are looking for volunteers to join the organising committee as in 2008 there will be a lot more events taking place.

The Event will run over 8 days that will include a complete variety of events. There are many events already in the pipeline but we are still looking for input from the community. Ideas include Photography and art Exhibitions, Music Festivals, Beer Festival, Church Concerts and services, Animal show, Sports Festival. I am also pleased to announce that we are definitely looking to hold a large procession through the village with Floats and much more – In order for us to do this we need volunteers to help us organise the festival.

We would love to see people at the next meeting, however if you are unable to attend the meeting, please send us your ideas or offers of help.
