FLECKNEY PARISH PLAN

The first meeting of the Steering Group took place on Tuesday 24th April at Fleckney Village Hall; chaired by Lizzie Clarke our Community Development Officer. Twelve group members were present.

Elected Officers:

  • Chair: Helen Neave
  • Treasurer: Fred Muskett
  • Secretary: Peter Leigh

Purpose of the Plan:

The purpose of the Parish Plan is to identify the issues that Fleckney residents feel need to be addressed, and ways to address them. A report will be prepared, and submitted to the Leicestershire Rural Partnership(LRP).

An action plan will be included in the report.

Key to the project is that every person living or working in the community will have a say, from toddlers to OAP’s.

This is a great opportunity for the village. The important thing about this scheme is that everyone gets a chance to contribute. When the plan is drawn up it will be there as concrete evidence to support our application for grants towards new facilities for the village. The future is in your hands.

The Leicestershire Rural Partnership (LRP)

The LRP consists of 19 diverse organizations; who work together to improve the quality of life of those living and working in rural Leicestershire. These local organisations will offer advice and funding opportunities to implement points raised in the action plan.
