PAPER QUESTIONNAIRE

The Group has considered a number of ways of determining the issues that concern Fleckney Residents. One method that has been decided on is the paper questionnaire. The questionnaire when ready for distribution will be available to every resident in Fleckney. Other consultation techniques are under consideration. A statistical analysis of the results from all the consultation methods will form the basis of the ACTION PLAN.

A Chance to have your say!

Calling all residents of Fleckney! This is the chance to have your say about things that matter to you. The Fleckney Parish Plan Group, made up of Fleckney residents who have volunteered to direct the Fleckney Parish Plan. A Parish Plan sets out how community action can meet local needs, can help prioritize resources and can provide important information to help influence policies, decisions and actions. Lizzie Clarke from the rural Community Council (Leicestershire and Rutland) says Parish Plans 'belongs the community to be delivered by that community. That is why they are so unique and valuable because nobody knows and understands the Parish better'. The Parish Plan Group have been brainstorming important issues and thinking ahead about how Fleckney can seize opportunities into the future. There are different ways the group can obtain the views of everyone living and working in Fleckney. They have decided that a questionnaire will be the best way for everyone to put their views across. It will be open to all residents, delivered to every household. It will cover a range of issues from youth facilities, the environment, policing and much more. What ever your interest -- you will be able to have your say! There are also some interesting and exciting ideas forming involving youth consultation.

A NEW POWERFUL TOOL

A new powerful tool has been added to www.leicestershirevillages.com/fleckney a “Discussion Forum”. The Discussion Forum has been included under Local Postings, increasing the number of databases, under this heading, to seven. Any one can view the postings, but only registered users can post or reply to topics. I believe this tool will be a great help in bringing issues that concern Fleckney residents into the open; if your views get sufficient resonance from other Fleckney residents, they could become part of the Parish Plan. Remember this, to get new facilities we need to show that there is significant support for those facilities among the residents of Fleckney. Get registered today!
