OUR NEXT MEETING
WEDNESDAY 22nd OCTOBER - 7.30pm Village Hall
As part of our autumn programme commemorating the outbreak of World War 1, our speaker this month is Neil Eaton who will be bringing us Tommy's Songs, the stories, words and music behind the most popular songs of the Trenches. Many of these songs, and hymns too, were frequently parodied by the soldiers as a way of making their own entertainment and finding some humour and relief amid the grim circumstances of their lives.
