Lieutenant Robert Stanley Wynne Walker MA MD Royal Army Medical Corps![]() Rugby School In the 1901 Census Theodore Walker, a 55 year old Hosiery Manufacturer is listed as living in Great Glen Hall with his 54 year old wife, Annie and their 19 year old daughter also called Annie. Robert was away at Rugby Public School aged 17. ![]() RAMC Badge Robert went with the Royal Army Medical Corps to Salonika on 7th September 1916. He died of tuberculosis at Great Glen Hall on 22nd August 1922 and is buried in St Cuthbert's churchyard in Great Glen. The inscription reads 'In loving memory of Robert Wynne Stanley Walker MA MD Died 22nd August 1922 Aged 39 years. To die is gain'. There is also a memorial to him inside St Cuthbert’s church as well as a stained glass window in memory of his mother, Annie, who died in 1910. ![]() Robert's grave in Great Glen Robert was awarded the 1914-15 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
