Rural Rider Bus from Hallaton

Rural Rider image

Hallaton is a hub for the Rural Rider bus which serves East Leicestershire. This means that we are much better served than many of our neighbouring villages - but it's difficult to say that we have a frequent service!

There are one or two services each day and they do go to a variety of places. This means that it can take a little while to make sense of all the many and varied routes, but it is worth the effort.

There are two regular drivers and they both clearly take great pride in the service they provide. You will soon be on first name terms!

Travelling by train

Our nearest railway stations are Market Harborough, Oakham and Kettering.

For intercity services to London and the North the nearest stations are Leicester and Peterborough.

Market Harborough and Kettering are both on the mainline from Leicester to London, but generally have stopping trains which have slower journey times. Having said that you don't have to fight through city centre traffic to get to the station!
