We are a small go-ahead group of 18 members, with a varied programme of speakers, outings and parties. New members always welcome.

Dates and times of meetings

We meet on the second Wednesday of the month January to June and August to November. In July we arrange a summer outing, and the December meeting is on the first Wednesday.

All meetings are at 7.30 pm at Stenning Hall, Horn Lane, Hallaton unless otherwise stated.

Past meetings

February 2009 - Gemini Finance
The members of HALLATON WI were pleased to welcome Garry Metcalf and Paul Reid from Gemmini Finance to speak to them at the February meeting. In the present financial climate it was very useful to hear what they had to say. Sound advice was given and discussed with regard to many subjects which included Retirement investment, Wills and the importance of obtaining a Power of Attorney. It gave the meeting much food for thought.

October 2008 - Icing Made Easy
Maggie Frankland gave a concise demonstration of icing a mini-cake as a present for friend or loved one.

September 2008 - ‘KILIMANJARO TO KATHMANDU’
This illustrated talk by Wendy Martin gave us a light hearted look at walking and mountaineering at home and abroad.
