A new round of funding is available for community groups in Blaby District wanting to expand or develop their activities.
If your group is based in Blaby district, and benefits people in the district, you may be eligible to apply for a Blaby District Council Community Grant. Community Action Partnership administers the grants programme on behalf of the District Council and three schemes are now available:

• Revenue grants - up to £500;
• Capital grants - up to £5000;
• Staying Healthy Grants - up to £1000.

The grant programme aims to support a wide range of community groups. Last quarter, 26 groups shared over £35,000 in funding. Grants were given for a variety of projects including rugby goal posts, a composting toilet, relocating a library in a church, a backsaver autospade, jubilee trips etc. More »

The next Blaby District Older Peoples' Forum will be meeting on Monday 11^th June 2-4pm at the Council Chamber, Desford Road Narborough.

This quarter there will be talks and information by Dr Cheung from University Hospitals Leicester on the effects caused by strokes and Brian Herbertson from the National Pensioners Convention speaking on their campaigns.

Huncote projects are within the 9 community projects that have been submitted for the Blaby South Community Forum area. Each of these projects have requested a share of the £10,000 allocated to the Community Forum.

You can now view and comment on each proposal, offering suggestions for improvement. The information collated at this stage will help inform discussions at the Community Forum Budget Decision Night.
