Dog and Gun Early 20th Century

The oldest buildings in the village are 17th century. Part of the Dog and Gun, which is still thriving and The Black Swan, which has been turned into a private house, date back to this time. In 1980 Blaby District listed a number of buildings, The Old Bakery, Manor Farm, 2 & 4 Main Street, Limes Farm, Church of St Magdalene, and the Church of St Batholomew, Foston (In the parish of Kilby)

The Old Barn situated behind the churchyard is believed to be of considerable historical interest. This has now been sold by the County Council for a Barn conversion after many years of use as a cattleshed
