A New Acoustic Act In Town...

I recently went to see a new acoustic duo; Emily Statham of Markfield and Siobhan Mazzei of Ratby, perform at several locations like that of ‘The Bricklayers’ in Thornton and ‘The Queens Head’ in Markfield. Both of whom went to school at Groby Community College where I met them.

The duo performed a series of songs, with the crowd’s favourites being covers of ‘Valerie’ by Mark Ronson ft. Amy Winehouse, ‘Use Somebody’ by Kings Of Leon and ‘American Boy’ by Estelle. The duo really knows how to get the crowd going performing both modern and old school songs. I must admit that the buzz around the crowd is just amazing to see. More » More »

They are next to appear at 'The Donkey,' Welford Road, Leicester for an open mike night and ‘The Queens Head,’ Ashby Road, Markfield on the 22nd of August.

They’re an act that’s not to be missed this side of the summer!
