Theft of Vehicle Number Plates

The Theft of Vehicle Registration Number Plates continues.

The stolen plates are often used on vehicles in the commission of further offences, in particular car key burglaries of which there has also been a recent increase.

One way you can make it more difficult for the thief is to fit Clutch Head Screws, which once fitted cannot be unscrewed or removed without damaging the number plate.
Clutch Head Screws are available for £1.00 from Blaby Police Station or Braunstone Police Station Front Enquiry Office.

If you see anyone tampering with a vehicle that looks suspicious, please report it to the Police.
