Wednesday 16th July 3:00-4:30. Meet at L.F.E library at 3:00 for a scavenger hunt around the local area followed by stories at the library as part of the Library's summer reading challenge for 4-12 year olds - Team Read.
This event is designed for parents and children to take part in together. Children remain the responsibility of their parents at all times and because we will be leaving the library they may not attend unaccompanied.
Are you ready for the Team Read Challenge?
Team Read is a free reading challenge for children aged 4 - 12.
It is taking place at all libraries and mobile libraries in Leicestershire.
It starts on 5 July and goes all through the summer holidays until 6th September
Go to your local library to collect your membership card and fold-out stadium poster. You will then be able to read your way through bronze and silver levels, collecting stickers as you go. After reading at least six books you will become a Team Read champion and will be awarded a superb gold medal and certificate.
Your name will also be entered into a prize draw, with a chance to win some great prizes (Prizes kindly donated by: Alliance and Leicester, Alton Towers and Twinlakes Park - We are grateful to all our sponsors for their support)
If you are under four you can enter our special Team Read Bookcrawl and collect stickers for borrowing books. You will be awarded a splendid certificate when you complete the Team Read Bookcrawl.
