Narborough and Littlethorpe Parish Plan

The Parish Plan Group meet at the Parish Council Offices on Desford Road on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm to discuss community issues and ideas for projects within Narborough and Littlethorpe. All of these discussions are geared towards putting together a Parish Plan.

Please come along and help to plan the future of your village.

A Parish Plan allows the Group to gather information to help prioritise projects and ideas for the local community, based on the wishes of the people that count, the people who live and work in Narborough and Littlethorpe.

The first part of the Parish Plan was to put together a questionnaires, which were used to gather local residents views. Adult and youth questionnaires were distributed to local residents and schools early in April and the completed returns have now been collected. Thank you to everyone who helped in the preparation, delivery and collection of the questionnaire and everyone who took the time to complete the survey.

The next task is to enter the information from the returns into the Rural Community Council database, which will allow the information to be analysed and an action plan to be drawn up based on the issues and concerns raised by the local residents. Local residents will then be invited to an open meeting to discuss the proposals prior to the plan being finalised.

Entry of the information is a time consuming task for the small band of volunteers and it will take several weeks to complete this. We do not expect to be in a position to start analysing the data until July. For those residents who completed a contact sheet volunteering for activities or requesting further information we will been in touch when we have had a chance to organise an appropriate response dependent upon the type of issues and the numbers involved.

The draw to win a flight over the local area in a light aircraft took place on Tuesday 3 June.The luck winners have been notified.
