Which number?

A prestigious number! Often associated with life’s beginning, winks, rubies, UB, WD, and Ali Baba’s thieves! Got it yet?

This number of days seems to be an important period of time in a good number of Bible incidents: – Raining (Noah), Spying (promised land), Fasting (Jesus), Seeing (Jesus from Easter-Ascension). Well it’s also an important number of days for us at the Baptist church at the moment as we have been looking at how we can be, serve and bring hope to our Community for that period of time. The programme culminates in a Day of Action on 9th June where we are looking to do some practical work around the church but more importantly in the village community around us.

So if you see us litter picking, gardening or repairing on Saturday, it’s our way of giving something back into the village, albeit in a small way. Even better if you’d like to join us, or have an idea of a practical job or service we can offer on that day then do let me know. Picnic lunch provided!

A final fact about our mystery number:- It’s the only number whose letters (when spelt in English) are in alphabetical order. Useful trivia or what??
