In 2004, the history of the Chapel by Nikki Hening was published by Diseworth Publications. The book can be purchased at £6-00 plus postage and packing, from heningm@9clements.fsnet.co.uk

For two hundred and fifty years the history of Diseworth Baptist Church has been faithfully recorded almost continuously. It tells of the faith, enthusiasm and hard work of its members. The regular services, Sabbath Schools, Anniversary Days and Harvest Festivals continued often through very difficult times and sometimes without a church Pastor. The church finances were meticulously recorded and when funds were low, as often they were, the members worked hard to raise the necessary amounts. Time and frequent flooding caused much damage to the fabric of the church and the state of the churchyard but the faithful congregation always rose to the occasion in the love and care of their little chapel until November 2000 when, with a seriously diminished membership, the heavy flooding of the Diseworth brook spelt the closure of the building.
