There was also party games including pass the parcel, musical statues and musical bumps. Stories took on a party theme which included 'Horrible Hair', a story about a lion who dislikes his hair and can't make up his mind how to wear it to a party he had been invited to.

Travellers and Travel-Liars

A talk on Travel Writing by Kerry Featherstone

2pm

kerry

Kerry Featherstone. Literature Development Officer for Leicestershire Libraries entertained a group of library users with his talk on great British travel writing,- novelists, as well as " a few little known curiosities".(?!)
Stretching from Robinson Crusoe via Graham Greene and via the M25, we discovered how writers have seen the world, and shown it to their readers.

The afternoon was enjoyable and enlightening and hopefully didn't spoil to many people's love of travel writing.
