Polish School Children

One thing I do remember is the kids who went to school were completely bilingual. Now, they played games, like marbles, in English but talk to one another in Polish and this would happen without thinking at all. They’d play marbles, in English, follows right up and all the rest of it in English but talk to each other in Polish, swapping from one language to the other without even a pause or a thought. These kids, well they learnt Polish from their parents and when they went to school they would actually not know English but in a month, no problem at all to them.
