The Eggs

The family had a get together and the kids disappeared and came back with a basket full of eggs and said “Look what the chickens have laid”. Well, we only had about four chickens and there were about three dozen eggs. “Where have you got those from?”. “From the chickens”. “Yes, but you’re only supposed to go to your chicken hut! Take them back! Take them back!”. So we took them back but we didn’t know how many we’d taken from each hut so some people who had four chickens had a dozen eggs, some people who had one chicken had a dozen eggs and some people who had eight chickens had no eggs!
