Gardening Coffee Morning for Adult Learners Week May 2005

In celebration of Adult Learner's Week, Newbold Verdon Library held a Gardening themed Coffee Morning for the local people.

There was a beautiful art display to view and a display by the local gardening club.

Whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee people could browse a vast array of Gardening books. Some of the books contained a special ticket which entitled library users to a free packet of seeds or gardening directory. There was also the incentive to take out 4 books to win a hanging basket.

People were encouraged to use the internet to look at useful Gardening Websites and to try there luck at a Gardening Quiz which had some lovely prizes.

The local gardening club put up a display and some representatives from the group were on hand to answer people's questions

This beautiful botantical Art display was very popular with the people of Newbold Verdon who attended the morning

There were lots of prizes to be won at the Coffee Morning including this Hanging Basket.

All the prizes wre kindly donated by Local Garden Centres, Woodlands and Greenacres. There were also seeds donated by Thompson and Morgan and Sutton Seeds
