Coalville Community Hospital
Coalville Community Hospital is located on Broom Leys Road, in the district of North West Leicestershire. It is a bright, airy, modern single storey building with large patio areas outside each ward, beyond which lie extensive grounds. The nursing and support staff are outstanding. My handler and I work on all four in-patient wards and in the EMI Day Unit. Most patients are in the 70-100 age range and many stay for months, allowing rich and rewarding relationships to be built up. The Hospital is given additional financial support through 'The League of Friends' (Registered Charity 700945), who organise many different fundraising activities. Donations are always welcomed and can be made at any time through The Treasurer. Teddy and Di entertain patients with a demonstration of the 'Romanian Roly Poly'![]()
