My Life so far...My Mum didn't want another dog, but my Dad was insistent. He telephoned the Kennel Club in London, who connected him with a breeder and show judge, in West Yorkshire. Owing to my less fashionable gold fur coat, I was rejected as a potential show dog and was therefore looking for a new home. Apparently my grandad, Sansue Golden Ruler, was a famous Crufts Show champion, but I was more interested in chasing rabbits and lying by the fire. Dad took me to Puppy Parties at the vets, then Mum enrolled me at Obedience School, where I obtained my first certificate at the age of 22 weeks. Much later on, I won the Kennel Club's 'Bronze Medal Canine Good Citizen Award.' Owing to my gentle temperament, I was able to pass my Therapy Dog examination to become a registered working dog. I really love my work visiting people in hospital. Patients often feel sad when they are ill and I know that they enjoy the times we spend together. Coalville Community Hospital values my positive contribution to the welfare of their patients. ![]() Puppy Teddy at 7 weeks, 3 days old. Last Updated Wed, 1 Aug, 2007. |
