This will be an action packed weekend. Not only is it the annual Scarecrow weekend. The new Playing Fields will be opened on the morning of the 27th. The village school will be serving afternoon teas on the 27th and the Gardening club on the Sunday in the Village Hall.

Sunday is Harvest Festival at All Saints and Saturday is the Village School fete.

The Police Team have been in the village for the last two weeks. P.C. Steve Rhodes tells me that they served tickets on two drivers on the Main Street and ten on Bradgate Road.

The Friends of Charnwood Forest meeting on Monday, 13th October at Woodhouse Eaves Village Hall commencing 7.30 p.m. promises to be very interesting

This is a genuine old magic lantern show with pictures from Garendon Park, Shepshed, Grace Dieu and the Monastery, Oaks in Charnwood, Copt Oak and Nanpanton.

Guests welcome. £2 on the door.
