Family First is a lottery funded project which aims to bring together parents, carers and their children, to provide a safe environment where families can learn, play and develop a healthy lifestyle together.

Family First believe that by promoting the benefits of learning together, playing together and eating meals together, families will be able to benefit from long term positive family relationships.

We believe that strong families make strong communities and that everyone in the family has a part to play.

We are positive about the diversity of our population and work closely with the community, parents and carers and the range of groups and organisations already in the areas to ensure that the varying needs of families are met.

Briefly, the Family First Project has 3 basic strands:
• Working with parents to promote early years learning
• Providing support for families who have a member with a disability
• Promoting provision for fathers who may have difficulties in engaging with their children.
