Parish Awards: full list

In the last Queniborough Gazette the Clerk reported on the most recent recipients of the Parish Council’s Village Awards. Following this it was suggested that many people would be interested to see a complete list of all those who have been given the award over the years.

The Parish Council’s Village Awards are made at the Council’s Annual General Meeting each year to those people who have made an outstanding contribution to the life of the village. A scarf or tie with the Queniborough crest is given to the recipient. The first award was made in 1981 and was given to the County Questions Team. Since then awards have been made most years. With this year’s awards over fifty people have now received a scarf or tie, so a list of winners would seem timely. More »

The list has been compiled from records at the Parish Office. If there should be any omissions or errors the Council would be very grateful if you could let the Parish Clerk know.

Village Awards 2009

Each year the Parish Council awards a Queniborough head scarf or tie to people who have given service to the village over many years. This year the Council were very pleased to make the awards to Mr G. Hallam for his work for the village hall; Mr C Leader for his work as church warden and Mrs. A. Waller for her work as litter warden. Congratulations to the three recipients and thank you for their years of work for the village.
