Ratby Parish Design Statement

A unique chance to have your say about the future of your Parish.

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, along with the Rural Community Council for Leicestershire and Rutland, are holding a public open meeting to discuss the possibility of the parish of Ratby creating its own Village Design Statement.

This document describes the visual qualities and characteristics that people value in the parish and its surroundings. Its preparation takes into account the buildings, spaces, settings and landscapes which give the parish its unique characteristics, striking a balance between traditions and the demands of modern day life. It is an advisory document produced by the local community and not by the planning authority which should enable this special character to be taken into account in the planning and design of new development. This document will then be adopted as a Supplementary Planning Document by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.
